Press news Marienkron: reading with Karl Markovics

The foyer of Marienkron transforms into a stage for outstanding artists.

READING WITH KARL MARKOVICS, Marienkron, 05.08.2023 Marienkron is a place for regeneration, reduction, and well-being from within. Alongside fasting, detox, and special health programs for gut & overall health, cultural highlights are also regularly offered to guests. On such occasions, the foyer of Marienkron becomes a stage.

Last Saturday, Karl MARKOVICS performed a reading at Marienkron. He captivated the audience with short stories by Kafka and Mikhail Bulgakov, concluding with Alfred Polgar. Once again, Markovics demonstrated his remarkable talent – with his unmistakable voice and powerful performance, he created an atmosphere where time and space seemed to merge, bringing the stories vividly to life. Simply magnificent!

The intimate setting at Marienkron also allows for direct encounters with the artists after the performance – as was the case last Saturday. In personal conversations, Markovics shared insights into the works and the historical background of the authors. These close, exclusive encounters create the unique character that the audience so deeply appreciates. These readings and concerts are not only for hotel guests – evening tickets, including a sparkling wine reception, are available in limited numbers, creating an exclusive regional offering of CULTURE & ENJOYMENT. The artists themselves also value the special atmosphere.

“In this house lives a good spirit, inspired by a gracious God,” Karl Markovics wrote in his dedication to Marienkron.

This was already the second time the renowned actor and director performed at Marienkron, having personally experienced the house as a place of relaxation and retreat. Marienkron is open not only for regenerative short stays and longer cures, but also regionally for outpatient therapies, regeneration spa days, and holistic medicine programs such as “fasting without overnight stay.”

The next CULTURE & ENJOYMENT event at Marienkron will take place on September 30, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. With the well-known Burgtheater actresses Dorothee HARTINGER and Stefanie DVORAK, Marienkron once again invites guests to an evening reading including a sparkling wine reception.
