The cuisine at Marienkron is predominantly vegetarian, combining fresh herbs, regional ingredients, and great care into a harmonious composition of taste and benefit.

Not only our retreat and fasting guests are welcome – external visitors, too, can enjoy mindful dining in our light-flooded restaurant.

At the buffet, you will find a variety of warm dishes accompanied by soup, salads, and freshly baked house bread.

At breakfast, we spoil you with an omelette bar and fine, balanced dishes that give you energy for the day.

At Marienkron, food becomes an experience for all the senses – mindful, balanced, and full of flavor. Our medically guided fasting programs – from juice, soup, and vegetable fasting to innovative concepts such as vegetable-sushi fasting – support you on your path to more energy, health, and inner balance.

Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced from the Neusiedl Seewinkel region – preferably organic. For us, regionality is more than a principle – it is a lived connection.

Head Chef Patrick Posch reinterprets classic Burgenland home cooking in a vegetarian way – inspired by his expertise as a certified herb and bud educator. With his knowledge, he brings not only taste but also beneficial effects to the plate. In this way, healthy nutrition at Marienkron becomes a true culinary delight.

Homemade Bread

Take a piece of Marienkron enjoyment home with you.

On request, our baker László Sali will be happy to prepare bread for pick-up. Every Thursday our kitchen bakes in large batches, filling the house with the aroma of freshly baked bread.

Choose from our sourdough specialties:

- Wholegrain Rye Bread (whole rye flour, water, rye sourdough, spices: salt, anise, caraway, coriander)
- Wholegrain Spelt Bread (whole spelt flour, water, salt, wheat sourdough, spelt flakes)
- Wheat-Potato Bread (wheat flour, water, salt, wheat sourdough, cooked potatoes)
- Wild Garlic Bread (wheat flour, durum wheat semolina, water, salt, fresh wild garlic)
- Cocoa Plaited Loaf (wheat flour, butter, sugar, egg, cocoa, butter, lemon zest, water, milk)
